One of the most common questions we get from prospective clients is how much plant design and service will cost.

Ultimately, plants are a scalable solution—we can design installations that cost relatively little or installations that shoot for the moon. With that in mind, the most important part of the budgeting process is finding the balance between the client’s budget and big-picture goals.

Step One: Discuss the Big Picture

We start with a conversation with potential clients about the characteristics of their project like size of the space, plant goals and timeline.

Step Two: Establish Priorities

Next, our plant designers work with clients to identify their priorities.

For some, the most important factor is scale — they want really large plants. For others, the style of containers are really important. Some want plants purely for aesthetic purposes, while others use planters to manage traffic flow in a space.

Step Three: Receive a Proposal with Mockups

Once we know what the client values most, we zero in on how we can design something that works for their budget and their priorities. Our designers put together a proposal which clients can accept or adjust.

Example of a design mockup including plants, placement, and planter details

Along with the proposal, our designers provide design mockups, using photos taken of the client site, that give prospective clients a sense of what the proposed plant design will look like in their actual setting, including the scale. Being able to see the future result is essential as it helps people feel confident that they are investing in something they are going to like, and it gives us confidence that everyone is on the same page moving forward.

We welcome input and collaboration in this phase!

Step Four: Approve and Schedule Installation

Once the proposed design has been approved, we schedule an installation date and get started preparing for plant delivery and installation.
